Oh so lovely readers,
I need to warn you. Things will be getting a little …random….around here. Lol But it’ll be fun! Sometimes you have to just stop over-thinking everything and just do what you feel! You know what I mean? So I’m going to let my creative, random, adventure seeking self take over and just go with the flow.
And lucky for me, my boyfriend is coming along for the ride ;)
So what randomness do we have for you today? Well, check out our dramatic cooking trailer above to find out!
Lots of love,
It’s foodie tuesday! Keeping with our theme, I thought a fantasy treat would be a great idea. HP fans rejoice, you will now have a delicious and simple Butterbeer recipe to go along with yesterday’s DIY costume.
I’m sharing the “adult” version of the drink because being a wizard is tough and often requires liquor.
Ready? Here we go.
Cream Soda, Butter, Vanilla Ice Cream & Butterscotch Schnapps
Add one scoop of vanilla ice cream and one tablespoon of butter to your glass of cream soda (12 ounces). Mix thoroughly.
Now it’s decision time. Hot or cold? If you want a warm and cozy butterbeer, place your glass in the microwave for about 15-20 seconds. If not, cool it off in the fridge or add ice.
Lastly, stir your drink and add 2+ shots of Schnapps.
If you don’t like it, I recommend taking 2 shots of schnapps until you do.
Katsuya is sooo good! But before I get into that, I have to announce that I am officially adding food to my blogging mix! I’m working toward improving my eating habits (and losing my extra jiggle) but I will also be taking full advantage of cheat days. Everything in moderation, including moderation, right? I mean….can any salad ever be as tasty as lobster risotto?! (The answer is yes. I’ve tasted one such salad….but you know what I mean. Lol)
I hope you enjoy the mix of healthy & indulgent food posts that’ll be coming your way! And if you have a recipe or restaurant you think I should try, let me know :)
Now lets talk Katsuya! It’s Japanese cuisine with a few twists courtesy of Master Sushi Chef Katsuya Uechi. I’ve tasted other restaurants’ versions of a few of the dishes but Katsuya has the best interpretations of them. I’m happy to say I was not the least disappointed. I was actually very surprised by this mini chain. If you’re considering eating at Katsuya, I highly recommend it.

Guilty as charged. If you follow me via social media you know that I’ve been working to adjust my eating habits in order to live a healthier life and of course, to lose the extra pounds. But I’m a major foodie and I can’t imagine life without the occasional delectable indulgence. So I aim for an 80/20 ratio of clean eating to not-so-clean yet amazing meals. Lol.
Last weekend I was able to check out Fab Hot Dogs , it was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives on the Food Network. It’s a small place but if you start reading the menu, you’ll instantly see what sets them apart. They’re best known for “The Ripper”. It’s a natural casing beef and pork dog flown in from New Jersey that is specally made for deep frying!
Everything was delicious. I had a breakfast ripper dog with tatter tots and I have no regrets. Lol. I also think this place would be a really cool date spot. It’s unique, fun, and not over-priced.
This past weekend, the world’s biggest lollipop made it’s way to the grove! I didn’t get a photo of it because we were running a little late but I did catch a glimpse of it sitting in a truck preparing to go wherever it is that giant lollipops go. It was pretty cool and trust me, it was just as big as you’d a imagine the world’s biggest lollipop to be.
I also had a chance to try The Fat Cow, one of Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants! I’m a major foodie, that’s part of what makes dieting so hard for me! Everything was tasty but I especially enjoyed the brussels sprout pizza. I never thought a pizza could be so…gardeny fresh and savory at the same time. It put the basic pepperoni to shame.

If you’re in the LA area I’d definitely recommend The Fat Cow for lunch. And if you try their burger, let me know how it is! Now back to my diet….Lol. Have a great day guys :)
We’re already halfway through our Monday work day! Life can get pretty hectic and busy but you can always keep up with me on instagram :) It’s my fav way to share daily adventures & style tidbits!
