Stop by and check out how you can recreate Jennifer Lawrence’s dark lips for only $10!
If you’ve been following LoveNiki for awhile, you know how much I love Selena Gomez. And after her attending her concert last week (thanks to the best bf ever!), I realized that we believe in and stand for a lot of the same things. I can only imagine the pressure she is under to be skinnier, sexier, and cooler but she doesn’t seem to care. She embraces who she is and encourages others to do the same.
I spotted her geek crop top on her instagram and thought she looked effortlessly cool in it. So I looked around for one but I also realized that it’s actually getting a little chilly around here so maybe a warmer option would be a good idea. Lol.
Not only was I able to find a cute geek sweater from Kiki La’Rue (find it here) I also learned what Kiki La’Rue stands for. They are a company who believe in embracing who you are. If you check out their instagram @ShopKikiLaRue you’ll see how they offer pieces for many different shapes & sizes and that their models are real women who are both diverse and beautiful.
Let me know what you think of this geek chic sweater! And I’m always looking for looks to recreate so feel free to leave links to images in the comment section!

To create this look on yourself focus more on the outfit as a whole rather than the details. You’ll need: a striped shirt, a (fedora) hat, coat/jacket/blazer, and jeans. The items don’t have to be identical just similar. And you can switch up the footwear to whatever you like. Add a heel, cute flats, or even your fav pair of boots.
And if you have a little extra cash this pay check you can always purchase the things you need :)
Goooood morning! I know most ‘must have’ lists include designer bags and expensive clothes but I wanted to share some great products that are affordable & can improve the rest of your week!
The ribbon elastics feel so much better than the basic elastic hair bands. They don’t pull or tug while you wear them. They do cost a little more but not by much.
The Listerine mouthwash is a new addition to my teeth cleaning routine but it’s exactly what I needed. My teeth are cavity prone and not as white as they could be thanks to my daily cup of jo. I’ve tried whitening strips before but they left my teeth super sensitive and did nothing to help my enamel.
48 hour deodorant is aaaammmmaaaazzzziiiing. No, I don’t go days without reapplying and I’m not exceptionally smelly Lol but I’m usually out of the house for long periods of time doing a million different things. This stuff lasts through it all. And it’s so much better than having to carry a deodorant around with you. I shove enough stuff in my purse so the less I have to add, the better.
I stopped buying heat tamer to save a few dollars and my ends started splitting and my hair became rough and dry. This is not the area to make budget cuts in! Lesson learned.
These basic products will definitely improve your week!Plus you can get it all for under $20, maybe even under $15 if you find a sale. A new deodorant may not be as chic as that handbag you’ve been eyeing but when the holidays come around and your rushing from one gathering to the next, you’ll be glad you spent a few dollars on some of the little things.
After my birthday back in September, I became more aware of the signs of aging on my face. I’m only 25 but you can see the little wrinkles forming and a bit of dullness setting in.
One day, after a long & full life, I’ll be much more okay with looking like the cute grandma from the Up Lol but I’m suppose to be in my prime right now! The universe must have also had a hard time looking at me because it sent a wonderful company my way, Enza Essentials.
Most products seem great initially so I wanted to test my new skincare kit out for a couple weeks and give you girls the best possible review.
I can sum up my thoughts in two words, it works! I have nothing to gain from giving you a phony story about how great this stuff, trust me. Enza Essentials will provide you with the results you’re looking for.
My skin tone is more even and my fine lines are being softened and erased with each wash. And for the occasional breakout, I’ve been using their spot extractor which can significantly reduce blemishes in a day or two. That impressed me. Once a blemish shows up, I normally have to wait a week or two before it disappears.
I’m using Enza’s extraction system but they can help you find the right system for your skin. I highly recommend this skincare line (which was created by a plastic surgeon!) to anyone looking to get clear, youthful, and healthy looking skin. If you’ve been searching for products and have been trying to figure out what works, take a chance on Enza, you won’t regret it!
Let me know if you have any questions or want to know more about my experience with Enza Essentials!
I have gone through “it’s time for a change, I need a bob haircut” cycle quite a few times. And after the new haircut high wears off a few weeks later, I find myself desperately looking for ways to make my hair grow as long as possible as quickly as possible.
I’ve definitely learned a few things and accepted some difficult truths about hair and growing it out. Here’s what you should know:
1. Stop cutting it. Sounds silly to say but it’s the only way to start adding length. I had a hard time giving up a visit to the salon. It feels awesome to have someone wash you hair! If you have damaged hair, you can stop by the salon for a trim but be sure to space out your appointments so that you’re gaining more than you’re losing.
2. Be patient, it’s going to take YEARS. It’s true. Go ahead, cry. If you want long flowy hair it takes A LONG time. You get about 6 inches a year and that’s before deducting anything you may have trimmed off.
3. You don’t look like her. You know that pinterest photo of that girl with long, sexy, thick hair you stare at daily? Well that’s not you or your hair. That was harsh…sorry…Lol But seriously, very few people warn you that when you grow your hair out it might not look anything like you expected it to.
I was expecting loooong luscious wavy goodness once I got my hair down to my mid back but instead it’s heavy, straight, and a little stringy. I have to rely on styling tools and products for thick looking voluminous hair
4. Massage your scalp. Get the blood flowing to your scalp! A gentle massage increases circulation which aids your body in delivering nutrients to your locks which is a must for optimal hair growth.
5. Eat your carrots! Your diet shows. And I don’t just mean on your waistline. Hair tends to reflect your health (both mental and physical) so eat well and take time to combat stress with relaxing activities.
Hope this helps! Let me know what hair struggles you’re currently dealing with!
I’ve tried a lot of mascaras but my current favorites are pretty awesome.
My top pick is by Benefit Cosmetics and is also the priciest at $23 but I love how pigmented the color is and how well it extends every lash. They’re Real! Mascara also has a unique brush that helps you reach all the way to the base of your lashes and into the corners of your eye.
Runner ups 2 and 3 can both be found at any drugstore or Ulta for around $10 :) Maybelline’s Illegal Lengths Mascara is very similar to my top pick but it doesn’t add as much volume or color.
The L’OREAL mascara is all about volume….as it says….on the package. Lol. It’s great if that’s all your looking for and it definitely adds drama to the eyes.
Have you tried any of my top picks?
For the record, I wore it first. Lol. Normally I recreate looks but this time I happened to stumble across a dress that looked just like the one I bought last year. My dress is knitted/crocheted and Jessica’s is shiny and metallic but the look is pretty close.
I searched everywhere to find links and options for you guys but there’s not a lot out there. I think this style and color combo is barely headed back out for the new season but I was able to find one dress that’s….semi-similar Lol Check it out: Nasty Gal Zig Zag Dress

Today I’m sharing a very daring look! In the August Issue of Mexico’s Marie Claire, Lea Michele looked amazing in nothing but a tuxedo and black briefs. This look seems to be making the rounds right now, you’ll see a very similar outfit worn by Selena Gomez herself in her new music video Slow Down.
But is this really a look you can rock to a party? Yes! Just grab a blazer, throw on your fav pair of shorts and…. make sure it’s the right kind of event! Don’t go trying to wear this to Grandma’s 80th birthday bash.
I’ve been eating a lot cleaner and trying to workout more often so my blazer is not as form fitting as it use to be but I sort of like it a little bigger. It has the whole “boyfriend jeans” vibe going on.
Hope you guys like it! Let me know what you think!
Yay! I finally got a few snapshots of my Katniss look! BUT…I didn’t have the good camera :( Lol…life huh? I thought it’d still be fun to share this look and than maybe reshoot it with an outfit inspired by the movie! That would be pretty cool. I’ll see what I can do ;)
I’d really love to hear from you pretty ladies out there! Send in photos or links of looks you’d like to see recreated! Email me at Niki@LoveNiki.com or post the look on my Facebook Page :)
Hope to hear from you girls!
