What’s in My Makeup Bag?
1. Physicians Formula Bronze Booster in Medium to Dark |2. Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse in Natural Beige Medium| 3. Maybelline Unstoppable Eyeliner in Onyx| 4. Maybelline Dream Matte Powder Beige Medium| 5. Temy Packham Makeup Bag| 6. Covergirl Cheekers in Plumberry Glow| 7. Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara
Is your beauty budget a little tight right now? Don’t worry, I’ve been a drugstore makeup girl for a long time! I love to try new things whenever I have extra spending money but I also like knowing which products I can rely on.
Maybelline has the best foundation and powder. You get a natural airbrush finish for only $10, best deal ever. I also really like Covergirl’s cheekers blush. It’s blendable and buildable so you can achieve subtle and more dramatic looks with it.
The mascara, bronzer, and eyeliner I have in my bag keep me pretty happy but I tend to experiment with different products when it comes to these things.
I’m starting to run low on some of my makeup which means I get to shop for more soon…yay!….so if you have a favorite drugstore product let me know so I can try it out!

Niki
Atlantic Pacific Inspired Outfit
Nordstrom Dress: Here| Forever 21 Sweater: Similar| Pointy Kitten Heel: Similar
Happy Monday! Today’s look is inspired by a very popular fashion blogger, Blair Eadie of Atlantic Pacific. I love her style and her signature dark shades. I think my personal style has a different vibe but I definitely lust over a lot of her pieces.
My goal was to recreate an outfit similar to the one Blair had on HERE while still keeping it affordable. My skirt is actually a dress so that’s automatically 2 pieces for the price of one. My shades are a $5 swapmeet find! I love them. I’ve always wanted some cool Ray-Bans but they cost way more than five dollars. My sweater was $25 from Forever 21, but everything in the photo was already in my closet so I spent $0 on this look :)
Is there another blogger’s look you’d like to see recreated? Or maybe you’d like to see a celebrity’s outfit recreated in an affordable way? Let me know!
Love,
Niki

DIY: Easy & Affordable Easter Baskets
Buckets: Target| Candy: Walmart| Eggs & Grass: Fresh & Easy
Easter supplies for 3 little buckets plus tax comes to a whopping grand total of $10. Pretty sweet right? Want to know what’s even more awesome about this? I had plenty of extra candy, a few eggs, and grass to fill some of the bigger Easter baskets I was working on. Did you put any baskets together this past weekend?

Jean Shorts Look 3: Denim on Denim
Joie Red Top | Urban Outfitters Lace Top: Same| H&M Denim T-shirt: Similar| Jean Shorts: Similar
Remix number 3! It took 3 blouses to create this look. Lol. Layering is a little tricky for me. Because of my body shape, I can end up looking like a bulky blob if I’m not careful.
Yesterday’s look was so simple, relying only on an accessory to make it pop but today is all about dimension and color. The red spaghetti strap keeps the look festive, the white lace top adds the dimension, and the denim top tones it all down and pulls it together.
What do you think? Success?
Love,
Niki
p.s. I didn’t notice until I uploaded these photos that they remind me of those grade school photos you have to take with the fake tree. Lol….you know which ones I’m talking about?
Jean Shorts with a Pop of Color
Linen Scarf: A Little Fancy or Affordable| Jean Shorts: Similar| T-Shirt: Similar
I was able to spend $0 on this look! That’s kind of the broke girl theme of the week. Lol. I really like the fun vacationy feel of this outfit. I instantly imagine myself strolling the shore, ice cream cone in one hand, boyfriend in the other. (In my fantasies, junk food makes me skinny…just fyi)
Accessories can have such a big impact on an outfit, I really need to get better at utilizing mine. And I definitely need to pick up some new things, my collection is pretty small.
Where do you buy your accessories? And which accessory do you use the most?
Love,
Niki
