The Crop Top Trend

Crop tops and bustiers are everywhere! I love the look. It’s the right amount of sexy. Plus, I feel way less out of shape when I show just a little bit of my stomach. Lol. I put together a polyvore set with affordable piece to help you recreate the look :) And….I added a few extra links at the bottom if you want to browse some of the other options I found.
Let me know what you think of this trend!

Atlantic Pacific Inspired Outfit

AtlanticPacificNordstrom Dress: Here| Forever 21 Sweater: Similar| Pointy Kitten Heel: Similar

Happy Monday! Today’s look is inspired by a very popular fashion blogger, Blair Eadie of Atlantic Pacific. I love her style and her signature dark shades. I think my personal style has a different vibe but I definitely lust over a lot of her pieces.

My goal was to recreate an outfit similar to the one Blair had on HERE while still keeping it affordable. My skirt is actually a dress so that’s automatically 2 pieces for the price of one. My shades are a $5 swapmeet find! I love them. I’ve always wanted some cool Ray-Bans but they cost way more than five dollars. My sweater was $25 from Forever 21, but everything in the photo was already in my closet so I spent $0 on this look :)

Is there another blogger’s look you’d like to see recreated? Or maybe you’d like to see a celebrity’s outfit recreated in an affordable way? Let me know!

Lara Croft Tomb Raider Inspired Look

LaraCroft2013

I love doing style thief posts. They’re creative and I get to dress up…. that’s an ideal day in my book. This look was inspired by a not-so-typical and not-so-real celebrity, Lara Croft. The badass tomb raider hottie.  No, I’m not a gamer but style inspiration can literally come from anywhere.
I saw a commercial featuring Lara’s new look and felt compelled to recreate it. If you wipe off my fake blood and lose my pseudo war wound bandages, you actually have a very wearable everyday outfit. And to me, that is one of the coolest parts. Most of my outfit was thrifted or already in my closet but I created a set with items to help you recreate the tomb raider look.
I really want to start doing more style thief posts and show you how to get the looks you love from movies, tv shows, magazines and anywhere else you can find inspiration. You can send me looks you want to see recreated via email: Niki@LoveNiki.com or leave a comment on my Facebook page: Facebook.com/MsLoveNiki

I think I’m in love with denim shirts. They’re cute, warm and have a cool casual look. The skirt and pointy heels that Emma wore helped her outfit look more date night-ish and although I have almost the same exact heels, I wanted to keep my look casual. Hence the sunnies and leopard flats :)

I hope you’re having a good week! I’m excited to be heading to the snow in just a few days (I’ll bring back lots of pix!) Do you have any plans for this weekend? And how do you feel about these style thief posts…..want more? Or less? Lol

Love you lots,

Niki

Style Thief: Emma’s Blue Dress

First off, I must thank the wind for blowing and adding frizz to my hair. On the bright side, Emma usually keeps her hair pretty simple and casual so let’s just say this hair situation was planned. Lol.

I really liked the color of Emma’s dress but I definitely went with the edgier version of her look. The gold studs on the collar and form fitting shape are the biggest differences but they are more in line with my personal style.

Which blue dress would you be more likely to wear?

FloralDress FloralDress3 FloralDress1photoWelcome to Style Thief Week on LoveNiki! I’ll be featuring Emma Stone as our celeb style inspiration all week :)

I’m crazy excited to share today’s look with you. My dress was inspired by the floral Dolce & Gabbana dress Emma wore to the Spiderman movie premiere in Spain. Now, We all know that a Dolce & Gabbana anything costs a pretty penny but my floral dress was only about $30! And you can find it at H&M!

Are you an Emma Stone fan? What do you think of her style and her movies? I think she’s funny and Spiderman was pretty good.

Selena Gomez seems like such a cool person. I wanted to recreate her look as best as possible with things already in my closet which made this shoot slightly more tricky but it was fun. I’ll also be posting another Selena Gomez inspired look in just a bit!

There’s a very good chance both of these Selena Gomez posts will be this week’s FEATURED LOOK! That means I’ll post a video to share with you how I recreated this look and give you tips on how to create it for yourself!
