Sharing my passion for dressing up has been so much fun. I’m excited to come up with new creative photo shoots and put together more outfits :) I use to think it was a little silly to be passionate about dressing up, but there’s never ever anything silly about doing what you love and following your heart.

Mom Chic

Mother’s day ads have made all moms seem a little….boring, dull, and cookie cutter-ish. I think our moms’ deserve cool gifts that are fun & pretty & cute enough to make you hope she’ll let you borrow it. Crop tops and bustiers are everywhere! I love the look. It’s the right amount of sexy. Plus, I feel way less out of shape when I show just a little bit of my stomach. Lol. I get to go shopping Sunday! It’s been a while since I last did some serious shopping. I’m definitely going to be hunting down deals to get the most bang for my buck. That’s sort of what inspired today’s post. I wish every season meant a brand new wardrobe but the reality of it is that, I have to find ways to rock seasonal stuff all year round. It allows you to have more outfit options no matter what time of year it is.

Major props to my mom for playing my photographer this morning! I think she did a great job. And yes, these shots would have been extra cool if I drove a Lambo or something but I don’t. Lol. I drive an ’98 honda civic and I love it! It’s the first and only car I’ve ever owned :)

Is your beauty budget a little tight right now? Don’t worry, I’ve been a drugstore makeup girl for a long time! I love to try new things whenever I have extra spending money but I also like knowing which products I can rely on.

Maybelline has the best foundation and powder. You get a natural airbrush finish for only $10, best deal ever. I also really like Covergirl’s cheekers blush. It’s blendable and buildable so you can achieve subtle and more dramatic looks with it.

The mascara, bronzer, and eyeliner I have in my bag keep me pretty happy but I tend to experiment with different products when it comes to these things.

I’m starting to run low on some of my makeup which means I get to shop for more soon…yay!….so if you have a favorite drugstore product let me know so I can try it out!

Renaissance Faire Outfit

RenaissanceFaireThis outfit was inspired by…..the renaissance period! I love the renaissance faire so much. The costumes, the axe throwing, the everything! I was able to rent my costume there but I did purchase the furry hood shown above from a very creative and talented vendor. She made it out of ugly old sweaters, cool huh?
