WTW: Halloween (Wicked Little Witch)

This year I’m a wicked little witch :) Amazingly this costume was only $15 at Ross! At party city it sells for $34.99 but that’s still a lot more affordable than most costumes, you can check it out here: Wicked Witch Costume.

My socks and broom came from a local Halloween shop. Together they were $10 bucks, woot woot! I’m doing some major saving this year and I love it. Is your Halloween outfit all ready to go? Are you going to share it with me?!

Look 1: Shades of Blue

Happy Tuesday lovely readers :)  Today I’m sharing one way to wear this week’s theme, “Blue Booties”. I paired my booties with a simple white Jessica Simpson dress. Basic colors like white, black and grey pair well with bright bold shoes. I wanted to tie the dress together with my shoes a little more so I added in my blue H&M coat . Although the coat is a different shade of blue it works well because it’s dark and a more subtle shade.

Stacy Kiebler wore a similar coat by Tory Burch that you can check out here and of course I have to cover my girls on a budget so here’s a very affordable but just as cute option for ya ;)  $29.99 Alloy Double-breasted Peacoat

And if your’re doing some very early Christmas shopping for the guy in your life, you can check out the blue Burberry coat Usher wore here. And when you realize that the Burberry coat costs more than your rent, don’t panic. I found you an affordable look alike from Old Navy: $50 Old Navy Coat.

Weekly Theme: Blue Booties

or if you’re a bargain hunter, you can find this pair on Target’s website: Hailey Jeans Co High Heel Bootie for $39.99

Splurge/Save Verdict: Save! For $40 you can get a great pair of blue booties, there’s no need to blow the big bucks on these guys. Plus I’ve realized how this color can be a bit hard to pair with outfits so it’s not likely to become a major staple item.

I put this slightly edgy yet simple ensemble together because I love experimenting and trying new looks! It makes it a lot easier to define your personal style because you start to realize what works for you and what you love…or hate. I think this outfit would work well for a desert music show but it’s definitely not a staple look in my wardrobe. As of right now I’d define my style as classic and romantic with a little sprinkle of daring and sexy.

First off I must say, I promise my shirt was ironed before I left in the morning. But I took these photo in the midst of busy day while I was out and about celebrating my boyfriend’s dad’s bday. We had lunch in Newport and made a visit to the fabulous fashion island. I had tons of fun and surprisingly lasted all day in my heels!

 I’m working on getting back on the diet and fitness wagon after not being able to find time for far too long. Plus I’m running a 5k in only 18 days for the fight against epilepsy . 5K + Great Cause = 2 very big reasons to push myself and get back to living a healthy lifestyle.
